Operation Easter Outfit

This program was the fuel that led to the formation of Partners in Outreach. What began as a “recycling” program of gently used Easter outfits for infants through 16 years old, through the St. Agnes Day Room, has turned into a wider spread program that provides hundreds of NEW outfits to children in many organizations throughout our county and surrounding area.

The Process

Collection

Items are purchased by PIO or donated by parishioners of local parishes through the "Adopt an Easter Egg" program where items can be purchased for specific children or families. A team of coordinators collects and organizes the clothing by size. Volunteers then participate in-service days to gather and package outfits for specific families. Each families' clothing is carefully covered in clear plastic bags. The clothing is organized on wheeled racks and transported by a moving truck to different facilities for distribution the Tuesday before Easter.

Recipients

Recipients of the collected outfits are families served by various organizations including the St. Agnes Day Room in West Chester, CYWA of Coatesville, The Bridge Academy in Coatesville, St. Rocco's Parish, Avondale, St. Anne's Parish, Phoenixville, St. Josephs Parish, Spring City, Sacred Heart Parish, Oxford, and ABVM Parish, West Grove.
